Florida Governor Issues Stay-At-Home Order
Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued a “stay-at-home” order for the entire state. The order begins at midnight tonight.
Initially, we reported about Orange County’s “stay-at-home” order which included WWE’s Performance Center and the home of NXT’s Full Sail University. This order initially was set to expire on April 10th. WWE was planning to resume filming additional episodes after that date.
AEW had been filming from Jacksonville, but tonight’s Dynamite episode will be filmed from an undisclosed location believed to be in the southeastern US. It is speculated the location is in Georgia, where a state-wide lock down has yet to be implemented.
Will the new state-wide order in Florida and the growing likelihood of similar orders in the remaining 15 states with no or only partial “stay-at-home” orders finally cause the world of professional wrestling to take a hiatus? Unlike AEW, WWE has a large video library to possibly take advantage of in this time, something we have already seen in recent episodes of Raw and Smackdown.
