Kenny Omega and Penta El Zero M wrestled in the main event of tonight’s (Oct. 28) episode of Dynamite in a semifinal match of the AEW world title eliminator tournament. The winner goes on to wrestle Hangman Page in the finals at Full Gear on Nov. 7.
Penta already lost last week’s tournament match, but was inserted back into the mix as an injury replacement for his brother Fenix. With that context in mind, the outcome of this match was a foregone conclusion. But there’s a reason why this match was the main event, and that’s because it ruled.
They tried their damnedest to get you to think that Penta could beat the re-invented Omega. To that end, check out this Destroyer:
Omega also somehow survived this package piledriver:
Penta snapped Omega’s arm towards the end of the fight, but it wasn’t quite enough to keep Omega from ultimately putting him away with the One-Winged Angel.
Kenny Omega and Hangman Page will now meet in the final match of the tournament on Nov. 7 at Full Gear.
Who do you think will win?
