After the Inner Circle came up short against the Young Bucks this past weekend at AEW Revolution 2021, Chris Jericho promised to have a War Council on this week’s (Mar. 10) episode of Dynamite, with a promise that changes are coming to his faction. The segment was slotted in the main event spot, so a major development was coming our way.
Jericho and MJF disagreed on how to respond to the loss at Revolution, leading to the return of Sammy Guevara. He wanted to show Jericho a video. That video happened to be a hidden camera where MJF and the non-Jericho members of the Inner Circle were conspiring together to kick Jericho out of the group. But the trick was on MJF, because of course Jericho’s loyal stablemates ratted him out.
Jericho fired MJF on the spot and ordered a group beatdown on him. MJF begged off like a coward, before suddenly changing his tone and revealing that he has his own stable. The lights went out. When the lights returned, the ring was now filled with FTR, Shawn Spears, Wardlow, and Tully Blanchard.
MJF’s new allies used a glass bottle, diamond ring, baseball bat, handcuffs, and a table to lay waste to Jericho’s entire Inner Circle.
For now, commentary simply referred to MJF’s group as the “new organization.” But it looks an awful lot like new Horsemen to me, as well as Shawn Spears.
